Dear Rudresh,

In my opinion:

1. India like China has one of the oldest civilisation. These two countries have some of oldest civilisation.

2. In fact, in the Chinese tale of "Journey to the West"; a Chinese monk of the Tang dynasty was given the task to go to India to obtain holy scriptures.

3. This does show that there is much to be learned from Indian culture.

4. Since China and India are close neighbours, there is indeed much trade and cutural exchanges.

5. I believe, (for now) Indian vasthu is not as contaminated or highly commercialised as " Feng Shui " of today.

It is because of the highly commercialised `Feng Shui' what with FAST FOOD FENG SHUI and marketing genius of sites associated with Black Hat Sect.

Even `traditional' Feng Shui is not left untouched or contaminated with FAST FOOD FENG SHUI. Where people pay money (literally) such as buying wind chimes, fountains, spending money in the hope of getting a wind fall but.. atlas! No hope in sight...

Many got disillusioned that paying so much for commercial stuff e.g. paying $xxx for wind chimes that are say manufactured for less than $4 or $5 dollars...

6. We see many people also disillusioned and instead of going to the temple or church.. had this weird feeling of simply `crawling' on their knees to pay homeage to a corner of the house! Yes, times have changed...

7. Personally, I have not looked at vasthu.. but, I believe that like all fields; if they are properly applied and with good reason would benefit many people.

8. Let me drawn an example of `Feng Shui':-

8.1 In my opinion, it is very diffcult even in Feng Shui to practise:

8.1a) 9 Star Ki
8.1b) Flying Star Feng Shui

Basically 9 Star Ki Feng Shui is one and the same as Flying Star Feng Shui.

The difference is that Flying Star Feng Shui is more specific and focused on e.g. evaluation the birth chart of the house.

9 Star Ki Feng Shui actually uses the same 9 grids of the Luo Shu Grid. But the difference is that; in my opinion, it was exported to Japan. And it is equally popular in Japan and United Kingdom.

One should understand the Japanese culture. The Japanese culture, in respect of Feng Shui wants to use it more in totality or as a package.

Thus 9 Star Ki, looks at not only evaluation of the house but it combines the person etc...

10. Frankly, I do not really taken up studying vasthu but perhaps, it should be taken `like 9 Star Ki' as a holistic method.

11. Here, even in Feng Shui, it is difficult to mix and match 9 Star Ki and applied it together with Flying Star.

One should either use 9 Star Ki or Flying Star as some how, if one mix and match.. it usually does not come out `right' or you often get the `wrong' answers halfway using half of each method.

12. Thus, in my personal opinion, I have faith that if perhaps one properly apply vasthu (and not allow it to be contaminated with commercialisation); perhaps, it may work even better or similar to Feng Shui.

13. From my personal understanding of both Feng Shui and divinity methods... if one clearly apply several methods e.g. face reading... hand reading... pillars of destiny... majority of the time... if it is done accurately... the end result is quite close....

14. I always try to or hope to have an open mind and unless the subject has been highly contaminated with commercialisation... Then... we should understand how and for what purpose was it being contaminated... perhaps by unscrupulous persons...

Warmest Regards,
Cecil
