Dear Diane,

How to activate a mountain star:-

1. Even if a mountain star can be found, it cannot be activated in all areas.

For example, if a mountain star is found at the frontage of the house such as the main entrance door area or at the front of the house.

Preferably it should not be activated at the centre-point of the house or centre of the house.

2. For effective activating of a mountain star:

2.1. It can be at the backdoor or in a room especially the back room of the house.

2.2. It can be activated (if found) at the back wall of the interior of the home.

2.3. It should be activated where there is a wall behind it. Here, there can be a shelf where the object to activate the mountain star can be placed.

Common items used to activate mountain star is e.g. a solid brass turtle paper weight or other objects that have `solid' mass and does not have wheels such as a decorative rock item.

Yes, without further analysis, you can use a wrought iron bed. Generally what is more imporant is the colour scheme as the wrought iron bed will have lesser of an impact since, the bed mattress will be placed on it.
